Snow Leopards are killed by poor herders by way of retribution
when livestock is taken.
Snow Leopards are hunted illegally for the black market fur trade
and trade in bones used for traditional Asian medicines.
The expansion of industry (typically mining) into Snow Leopard
habitat reduces the size of Snow Leopards' home ranges.
Loss of Prey
Over grazing of the habitat that Snow Leopards reside in leads to
reduction in numbers of prey to feed on.
